Medical Technology (MT) Industry Group
The Medical Technology Industry Group (MTIG) was formed in 1988 by multinational companies, as well as local companies operating in the Medical Technology Industry. The MTIG aims to be the leading voice for the medical industry and related organisations, encompassing medical devices, equipment, instruments, diagnostics, and implantables, and serving as a vital forum and focal point to advance the interests of the industry and benefit the people we serve.
Main Objectives

The Business & Ethics Sub-Committee
They will address issues affecting the business aspects of the Medical Device Industry in Singapore. They have also drafted out a code of ethics for members to follow and practice. -
The Technical Sub-Committee
They look into addressing the regulatory issues set by the Health Sciences Authority.- Aims to represent at least 75% of the industry players
- Aims to be the preferred forum for the industry for voicing issues and concerns
- Aims to act as the benchmark organisation within SMa in terms of representing the Medical Device industry
- To work with the Ministry of Health (MOH) in tracking/participating in the development of regulatory direction
- To communicate with members/industries/stakeholders
- To identify current needs in the context of the changing environment
- To address common business and ethical issues
