Singapore Manufacturers' Federation with the support of IE Singapore is organizing a Singapore Pavilion at the Defense & Security 2012 held 5 - 8 March2012 at IMPACT Exhibition Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.
Why participant?
Defense & Security 2012 focus on providing opportunity for international defense technology producers for Thailand, and Asia’s important policy makers in the Defense Ministries and the technology users. Good environment for those who are in search of external collaboration, security or solution to changes in defense production and procurement.
Exhibitor Profile:
Manufacturers of land, sea and air and defense technology equipment & weapons systems, missiles, tank, guided weapons technology, vehicles, transport and vessels, satellites, telecom & electronic defense equipment. Manufacturers of fine control systems & launchers and other relevant military and internal security technology systems and hardware.
Security installers, manufacturers and distributors of physical security products such as CCTV, intruder alarms access control & electronic security.

Financial Assistance
SMa hasobtained approved from IE Singapore for Singapore Pavilion in Defense & Security2012to be covered under the International Marketing ActivitiesProgramme. IMAP enable companies to receive up to 50% subsidy of total eligible costs in:
- Up to 50% subsidies of space rental and stand construction
- Double-tax-deduction for eligible expenses not covered by IMAP(freight cost, travel & hotel for up to 2 representatives per participating company. The 1 representative claiming the IMAP subsidy will not be eligible for DTD). Participating companies must apply for DTD directly to IE Singapore at http://dtd.iesingapore.gov.sg at least 7 days before the start of the activities.
Qualifying Criteria
Eligible companies are defined as being incorporated and based in Singapore (excludebranch of a foreign company) & locally registered with at least 3 core business functions.

- Non-SMa members are required to pay an additional fee of S$350 of which amount is not eligible for claim under the IMAP scheme.
- Please note that amount is before reimbursement of IMAP’s approved amount. Reimbursement will only be made after SMa received the said amount from IE Singapore.
- Please note that IE Singapore reserves the right to verify information provided by the companies. Eligibility and subsidy reimbursement of individual companies is subject to final approval by IE Singapore upon submission of IMAP Claim Form by SMa after the exhibition.
